Our Origin Story
We are here to walk your burial journey with you side by side. Shikocci (Pty) Ltd officially opened its doors in 2024 under the trading name Shikocci rebranding from TRD Manufacturing which was established in 2006, and catered to a limited market in the province of Mpumalanga. Our Team has a wealth of combined experience in all wood and steel casket manufacturing facets, having over 20+ years in the industry through the maret declines and peaks.
The CEO and Founder of Shikocci is well versed with the Casket & Coffins Manufacturing industry, following the restructuring of the company orginally establlished in 2006 under trading name TRD Manufacturing which was producing both wooden and steel caskets and coffins. To survive the 2008 global economic meltdown, the company pivoted to a Consultancy Basis, primarily dealing with sourcing clients and establishing new trade routes for funeral parlours and casket manufacturers.
The company was then re-incorporated with a new forward thinking approach adopting the use of IoT (Internet of Things) to facilitate faster processing and client resolution times to move into the manufactring space again of the manufacturing of wood and steel caskets. We incorporated about 70% of previous employees and operational management to trim costs and increase production levels. A new Production Centre has been sourced at Akasia Industrial Area of Klerksoord, equipped to handle our Mass Production, implement our new strategic manufacturing approach and add vertical intergration into our style of thinking.
Shikocci deals exclusively with Resellers, Funeral Directors, Parlours, Funeral Homes, Associations and other related services.

Being a company that has benefited from the talents of our community that were integral in making Shikocci successful, we have allocated a substantial amount of our profits garnered to redirect them to create inclusive programmes that assist in combating the socio-economic issues in our communities.
We achieve this by hosting the following:

Hosting a yearly Donation Drive for Creches in our Community to raise essential learning materials, vouchers and monetary donations.
Our yearly donation drive is a fundraising initiative focused on collecting items and/or money to benefit early childhood development (ECD) centers. These drives aim to improve the learning and living environments for children in creches, helping them access essential resources and opportunities.
Partnering with a SA Sports Organisations to host a Football Tournament with a Cash Prize and other Commpimentary Prizes.
Our Community Football Tournament is an organized fundraising event where teams compete in a football tournament, and the proceeds raised are donated to a designated charity, cause or winning team. These events are a fun and engaging way to support a worthy cause while enjoying the excitement of a sporting event.
Onboarding talented Engineering Graphics & Design High School Students in our Community for a Summer Practical Based Internship
Our Learnerships are training programs that combine practical work experience with theoretical learning, often leading to a national qualification, and are a valuable pathway for young high schoolers seeking skills development. They are an alternative to traditional higher education, offering a mix of classroom learning and hands-on training in a workplace environment.
